Achieving True Wisdom

“Human wisdom may help a life, but it can’t save a soul” - Wesleyne

Jeremiah 9: 23 to 24:

This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!

This verse challenges our human tendency to rely on our own wisdom and strength rather than on God's. In this passage, God speaks through the prophet Jeremiah, declaring that those who boast in their own wisdom, strength, or riches are ultimately misguided and foolish. Instead, God declares that the only true source of wisdom, strength, and riches is in knowing and understanding Him. It is only through our relationship with God that we can experience true fulfillment and meaning in life.

Today, you will learn to consider your own priorities and values and to ask yourself whether you are truly seeking after God above all else. You will be invited to examine the ways in which you may be relying on your own strength or wisdom rather than on God's and to seek to turn your heart toward him in humility and surrender. By doing so, you can experience the fullness of life and the joy that comes from knowing and walking with God. This message is as relevant today as it was when Jeremiah first spoke these words, and it calls you to a deeper level of faith and commitment to our Creator and Redeemer.
