Embracing the Spirit of the Lord

“Seek the spirit of the Lord to feel the spirit of the Lord” - Wesleyne

Judges 13:24 to 25:

When her son was born, she named him Samson. And the Lord blessed him as he grew up. And the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him while he lived in Mahaneh-dan, which is located between the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol.

This verse reveals the remarkable transformation that occurred within the hearts of Manoah and his wife, the parents of Samson. They witnessed the divine visitation of an angel, who announced the miraculous birth of their son. Overwhelmed with awe and fear, they initially questioned their fate. However, as time unfolded and the promise of God came to fruition, their faith deepened, and they embraced the reality of their extraordinary child. The seeds of doubt and hesitation that once occupied their hearts were replaced with a profound sense of gratitude and reverence, as they acknowledged the Lord's hand in orchestrating their lives and gifting them with a son destined for greatness.

Today, you will be reminded of the transformative power of divine intervention. Manoah and his wife began their journey with skepticism and uncertainty, uncertain of the divine purpose behind their son's birth. Yet, as they observed the unfolding of events and witnessed the fulfillment of God's promise, their doubts dissolved, and their faith flourished. This narrative will teach you that sometimes, it is in the process of waiting and witnessing God's faithfulness that your own faith is strengthened. Manoah and his wife stand as a testament to the transformative nature of embracing the divine plan, allowing it to reshape our perspectives and fuel our trust in God's providence.
