Letting Go Of Control

When we reach the end of our strength, we discover the beginning of God's power - Wesleyne

Bible Verse of the Day

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.- 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)

Summary

In this episode, we explore the paradoxical truth that embracing our weaknesses and difficulties can lead to profound strength.

The Apostle Paul’s statement in 2 Corinthians 12:10 reveals a deep spiritual principle: when we are at our lowest, God’s strength is most evident.

By acknowledging our own limitations and turning to God in our moments of pain and hardship, we open ourselves to His divine support and empowerment.

This message encourages us to find joy in our struggles, knowing that they are opportunities for God’s strength to shine through us.

We are reminded to cry out to God in our pain and trust that He will uplift us and fill our gaps with His strength.

Takeaways

- When feeling defeated, remember that God is not a God of defeat.

That is why for Christ's sake I delight in weaknesses and insults and hardships and persecutions and difficulties for when I am weak then I am strong. Second Corinthians 12 versus 10. Now why would Paul, the writer of Second Corinthians say

Wesleyne (:

I delight in weaknesses and insults and hardships and persecutions and difficulties. Those words don't even make sense. Why would someone delight in pain, delight in hardship and heartache and people speaking harshly of you? It stems from the very first few words of that verse, for Christ's sake.

for Christ's sake, because of Jesus, because I am walking with him, I delight in these things. Because when I am weak, then I am strong. What does that mean? How can you be weak and strong at the same time? How can you delight in the hardships and the difficulties of life? It is because

The Holy Spirit dwells within us. So when we feel weak, when we are at our lowest point, when we think that we can't go on, that there's nothing else left, that is when the Holy Spirit says, am the strength within you. I am going to lift you up. I am going to fill the gaps inside of you that you are unable to fill by yourself.

So the next time you're going through some pain and you cry out to God and you say, Lord, the way that person talked to me, it broke me down. I can't take it anymore, Lord. He will say, when in your weakness, that is where my strength abounds. My strength abounds.

when you cry out to me and in those times of pain.

Wesleyne (:

So delight in the pain. Delight in the lessons that you are learning from the pain. As you sit in your pain and you do the hard work of healing and you cry out to God and you seek professional help, know that you are going to come out stronger on the other side. So whatever weakness you may feel today, you'll feel strength on the other side of that.

I'm not telling you to allow someone to continue to berate you, continue to hurt you, to stay in a place of poverty and destruction. But what I'm saying is when you are in those places, when you find yourself in a dark abyss, cry out to God and ask him for his strength to be exchanged for your weakness.

Let me pray over you now. Dear Heavenly Father, the insults, the hardships, the depression, the despair that we may be feeling today, Lord, I ask you to take it away. I ask that in our weakness that your strength abounds, that we remember when we are in a low place that the Holy Spirit that lives within us loves us and will carry us forward.

Please bless us and keep us in your name I pray. Amen.
