Temptation can come in many forms, from minor daily challenges to more significant moral dilemmas. However, God assures us that we will never be tempted beyond what we can handle and always offers a way out. The key to overcoming temptation lies in recognizing it, leaning on God for strength, and making conscious choices to follow His guidance rather than succumbing to our weaknesses. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind and God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10 verses 13.
we are tempted every single day that temptation may be a small temptation like the cookie we know we shouldn't eat or it can be a much larger temptation like the
thing that we shouldn't take from a store, the drink that we shouldn't drink, the pornography that we shouldn't watch. We all have temptations, but God is faithful and he won't let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. So if he knows that you, one cookie might take you over the edge, but a whole cake,
will be too much for you, you won't have a cake within reach. You won't have a whole bottle of wine presented to you. Maybe you have a glass. But what you have to realize is when you are tempted, he is always providing a way out so that you can endure it. And you have a choice. When we are faced with any temptation, no matter how big or small, we always have the choice.
We can choose to pray and ask God to strengthen our mind, strengthen our resolve, strengthen us, or we can choose to succumb to that temptation. So what is the big thing that you're being tempted with today? What is that slithering snake in the garden? What is the tree that he's telling you to eat of that God has told you to stay away from?
Wesleyne (:Remember the things that the enemy tempts us with, those are the areas, the tender areas for us, the areas that we don't have the most resolve. And the enemy knows the areas that God has the greatest work for us to do. So when we're tempted, when we feel like we are succumbing to temptation, know that it is just a test of our faith.
It is a test of will we turn to God? Will we succumb to what the enemy wants us to do? For me, I know my areas of temptation. I know I can see a glass of wine, a bottle of wine, free alcohol, and it does not encourage me. I have no inclination, no desire to drink at all because God has worked on me and through me. And so I have no desire.
none whatsoever. But when it comes to things such as my finances and worrying about how will this bill get paid or will I have enough money to pay my employees. My normal inclination is to start worrying. But I know that is an area where the enemy always attacks me. So instead of worrying, I give it to God and I say I'm not going.
to worry about whether or not I can run payroll this month, or I'm not gonna worry about whether or not this bill is going to be paid on time because God, I know that you have it. And the enemy wants me to worry about it. And when I worry about it, I start making irrational decisions. I start taking business that isn't the kind of business that God has told me I need to take. I'm not walking in my.
purpose when I succumb to what the enemy is saying and telling me. So be conscious of those temptations. Know the places that the enemy always tries to tempt you. And remember you have a choice, lean on God or lean on your own understanding.
