Trusting God with Our Little

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much."- Wesleyne

Word of the Day

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.-Luke 16:10

Summary

Have you ever been in a situation where you had just enough food, just enough gas, or just enough money to get by?

In those moments, it’s easy to slip into a scarcity mindset, where we hold onto everything tightly because we fear there won’t be enough.

But I want to challenge you to let go of that mindset.

I remember a time when I had very little, but a friend was going through a crisis.

I felt compelled to sponsor her therapy sessions, even though I wasn’t living in overflow myself.

Do you know what happened next? God blessed me abundantly!

It showed me that when we’re faithful with our little, God can turn it into something much greater.

So I encourage you, when you receive your paycheck, give back to God first.

Don’t wait to see what’s left over.

Remember, if you can’t trust God with the little, how will you trust Him when He gives you more?

Let’s embrace generosity and trust in His provision and you’ll be amazed at what can happen when you do!

Takeaways

- Trusting God with what you have leads to greater blessings.

- A scarcity mindset limits your ability to see and receive God’s provision.

- Generosity, even in small amounts, can create a significant impact.

- Always prioritize giving God His portion off the top of your income.

- Being faithful with little prepares you for greater responsibilities.

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much. And whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. Luke 16 verses 10. Have you ever been in a place where you have just enough, just enough food to get you through the week, just enough gas to get you to your destination, just enough money to...

get you through the last few weeks of the month. What do you do with your just enough? Do you just say, well, I'll use a credit card and it's okay, I'll pay the credit card off next month. Or, well, I know I told my friend I would stop by and check on her, but I don't have enough gas to get to her house and to get to work every single day this week.

God wants us to release the scarcity mindset. Having a scarcity mindset means that we take whatever little bits and pieces that we have and we hoard it. We hold onto it. We don't trust God enough to realize, to know that He will provide. When I had just a small amount of money,

when things were barely able to reach at the end of each and every month, my friend had a big crisis in her life. And in that moment, she was crying. She was so down. She was so depressed. And I said, I really think you should go to therapy. And she said, Wesley, I don't have the money to go to therapy. I said, okay.

This is really important and I know this is gonna help you get through this crisis. So I sponsored five therapy sessions for her. I gave her the funds to go to therapy for five times, five weeks, five instances. I put no conditions on this. I didn't say go to this therapist, don't go to this therapist. I just said I'm sowing the seed into you and

you take it and do whatever you feel that you need to do with it. She took the funds that I gave her and she went to therapy and to this day she's still continuing to go to therapy. She was able to find a therapist that was within her budget and she was able to use the funds to be the seed that she then watered.

and nourished and is moving on into continuing to strengthen her. So even in my place of a flack I was not living in overflow at that moment. I did not have tons and tons of extra money that I could give to someone else. But God said this is what I want you to do. And so I took my little and I gave.

And you know, a couple months after that, my cup started overflowing. I started receiving financial blessings upon blessings upon blessings. Things that were unexpected. Things that I was like, God, how is this happening? Where is this coming from? But I was faithful with my little. Don't.

hold on to what God has given you. When you get your paycheck, give God his portion back off the top. Don't look at your budget and say, I have some leftover, I'll throw a few dollars into the church bucket. No, give him his portion off the top. My budget literally shows my giving

before my expenses.

Having a scarcity mindset not only impacts you, your mindset, the things that you focus on, the things that you do, it also hinders your blessing.

If you don't trust God with the little that he's blessed you with then will you trust God when he gives you overflow? Will you trust God when he says here's 10 times what you made three years ago?
