You Are Royalty in God’s Eyes

“It’s not a crown but a heart for God that sets you apart“ - Wesleyne

Esther 4:14:

If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?

This verse is a poignant reminder of the profound moments of decision that each of us may face in our lives. Mordecai's words to Esther underscore the idea that destiny is not just about personal elevation or success, but about the larger purpose and responsibility that often accompanies it. Esther, having ascended to the position of queen, is confronted with a grave situation where her people, the Jews, are under the threat of extermination. Mordecai challenges her to recognize that her royal position isn't just a privilege, but also a platform from which she can effect change. He suggests that perhaps her entire life's journey led her to this pivotal moment.

Today, you will learn about the interconnectedness of purpose, destiny, and responsibility. You will learn that positions of influence or power come with an inherent duty to act justly and courageously, especially in the face of adversity. The phrase "for such a time as this" has since become emblematic of the idea that there are moments in our lives where we are uniquely positioned to make a difference.

It challenges us to reflect on our own lives and consider how we might be called to act in the face of injustice or need. The verse encourages a perspective that sees beyond personal gain and towards a greater good, urging us to seize the moments where we can make a meaningful impact.
