Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12 verses 2. Do not conform to the patterns of this world. What are the patterns of this world? There are so many patterns from
Having social media be the first thing that you pull out in the morning to...
to partying incessantly, to spending your money however, whenever you want to. The things that people often say, just do you, just live life, just be free, right? Those are the patterns of the world. But we have to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. So how do we renew our mind? We are living in this world.
We are bombarded and hit with all of the worldly views of how to live our life and raise our children and lead our relationships and spend our money and operate in our careers. Those are all the patterns of this world. But when we renew our mind each and every day, that is how we transform.
And we renew our mind by doing a few activities, by reading our word, opening up the Bible and asking God to lead you to a passage, a passage that is touching you, a passage that he wants you to read that day. And then we pray.
Wesleyne (:about whatever is going on in our world. We pray through that Bible passage, do that Bible verse. And then we listen. We sit in silence and we allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us. We listen to the actions, the things that he wants us to do. And then if you are so compelled to take it a step further, then you write through
the things that you've heard from God, the prayers that he's answered for you, the prayers that you have on your heart, you journal them. You pour out your heart on a piece of paper.
That is how we renew our minds. We renew our minds by intentionally feeding our minds, our bodies, our spirit with His word and sitting with it and pouring it back out. So as we renew our minds, as we get all of this positivity, all of these things that God is speaking to us, we don't just let it sit there.
We allow that renewal to go back out by journaling about it, by talking through it, by sharing those words, those things that God has put on our heart with a friend in your journal, in a voice note, in a video. And remember, this is for you. The way that we do not conform to the world is by renewing our mind for ourselves.
