Summary

In this episode, the comforting message of Psalms 121 is explored, reminding us of God’s constant vigilance and care.

This Psalm begins by urging us to lift our eyes to the mountains, a metaphor for looking up to God in times of need. It reassures us that our help comes from the Lord, the creator of heaven and earth, who never slumbers or takes a break from watching over us.

No matter the circumstances, God will not allow our foot to slip. He is always there, guiding our steps, protecting us, and providing shade in the scorching trials of life.

I lift my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you. The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun will not

long chapters and short chapters. It gives us hope when we feel dark. In this particular Psalm, it starts with lifting our eyes to the mountains. And if we think about a mountain top, it is high. As we look to the mountain, we are looking up towards heaven. And when we look up,

It reminds us that.

God, our sovereign God, he made the heavens and the earth. And we're looking up and if we think about walking or climbing or doing anything with our feet, we often look down to make sure that we're not stepping in the wrong place or we're going to slip. But in this,

Psalm in verse three, says, will not let your foot slip.

He who watches over you will not slumber. God doesn't take days off. He doesn't take moments off. He doesn't take minutes off. He is always working and watching over you.

So in those moments when you want to look down because you feel full of shame or guilt or you think that no one loves you, that God isn't there for you, look up to the mountain and remember, he's not going to let your foot slip. He's not going to take his hand off of you. He's got you. He will keep you from harm.

and watch over you, no matter what you think or what you feel or how you're moving.
