The Power of Praise

"Rejoicing means praising God for the breath in your body and the goodness He has given you thus far"- Wesleyne

Word of the Day

We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment, for we know how dearly God loves us because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.-Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)

We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials for we know that they help us develop endurance and endurance develops strength of character and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation and this hope will not lead to disappointment for we now for we know how Dearly God loves us because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love

Romans 5 versus 3 through 5 and that was from the New Living Translation.

How odd does it sound to rejoice when we run into problems in trial? That is not my normal response when I am having a difficult time, no matter if it's a difficult time with a person or a difficult time just with battling negative thoughts or my business isn't going well or the kids are requiring a lot of me.

I typically don't complain, I pray. I will take a moment and I will pray and I will cry out to God, will journey, journal, but I am not, yes Lord, thank you, thank you for this. However, this verse says that we should thank God for these trials because they help us develop endurance.

So if it were not for me having a six month patch in my business where I did not close any new clients, I would not have been equipped for a two or three month stretch where our revenue was low. If it had not been for me having so many difficult relationships in the past,

that I would not be in this place where I feel like I'm complete whole and at peace by myself. So think about your trials. What trials have you endured? What trials have you gone through that have built endurance?

And this endurance develops the strength of our character and the strength of our character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. So our endurance is how long you can walk through a valley season. And when we're in a valley season, we have choices. We can become bitter. We can become angry. We can become enraged, stressed, or

We can say, Lord, you've taken me through this trial. I don't know what the reason is, but I'm going to praise you. I am going to continue to call out your name. I am going to continue to submit to you. And that that builds our character. Our character is built through these valley seasons because as we are going through a valley, we have people in our life that we are dealing with. We have people that are watching us, our children, our spouses, our friends.

our colleagues, and if they see us going through this difficult valley season and we're not rumbling and we're not stressed out, they see what God can do through us and our hope of the salvation. This does not lead to disappointment because at the end of the day, we know how

Much God loves us. He loves us so much that he sent us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Literally to fill us up with his love. The disappointment, the heartache, the trials, the sickness, everything that we endure. We have the Holy Spirit as our helper, walking with us each and every day.

So in your next valley season or if you are in a valley season stay, rejoice. And rejoicing means praise God for waking you up. Praise God for the breath in your body. Praise God for the good, the goodness that he has given you thus far. Don't allow yourself to stay in a pit of despair and sadness and depression and anxiety. Rejoice.

and praise God because these trials are building your endurance. This endurance is building your character and this character is strengthening your hope of salvation and reminding you that God loves you.
